On November 21st, the opening ceremony of the International Academic Seminar on the Application for World Heritage of the China Mongolia Russia Wanli Tea Road and the Forum of Mayors of Cities Along the Wanli Tea Road was held in Tunxi. The International Academic Seminar on the Application for World Heritage of the Wanli Tea Road between China, Mongolia, and Russia, as well as the Mayors' Forum of Cities Along the Wanli Tea Road, aims to further strengthen international cooperation in the protection and application for World Heritage of the Wanli Tea Road, consolidate consensus on the joint application for World Heritage between China, Mongolia, and Russia, establish a joint application mechanism for cities along the three countries' routes, and promote the joint application process.

Nowadays, Anhui Province has become the ninth province to jointly apply for the World Heritage status of Wanli Tea Road. As the only representative of Anhui Province to join the World Heritage City Alliance, Qimen County will leverage this important international trade route that connects the Eurasian continent and promotes prosperous world trade to promote the deep integration and coordinated development of tea culture and tourism.
