Recently, guided by the Market Operation and Consumption Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce, the industry standard "SBT 10560-2024 Central Reserve Border Sales Tea Storage Warehouse" revised by the China Tea Circulation Association has passed the final review and officially announced on the website of the Ministry of Commerce. This standard will be officially implemented from April 1, 2025.
On August 16th, the launch ceremony of "Tea and the World" global dissemination of Chinese tea was held in Beijing. The event is themed "Inheriting and Promoting Tea Culture, Exchanging and Learning from Each Other, Benefiting the World", guided by the China Foreign Languages Administration, hosted by the Cultural Communication Center of the China Foreign Languages Administration, supported by the China International Tea Culture Research Association, China Tea Society, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Food, Soil and Livestock, Chinese Culture Promotion Association, National Agricultural Technology Promotion Service Center (China Tea Industry Alliance), China Tea Association, and co organized by Hunan Agricultural University, Anhui Agricultural University, Hunan Normal University, and Zhejiang University Tea Research Institute.
A few days ago, Qimen County held a field meeting on the promotion of mechanized cultivation and weeding of tea gardens in Pingli Town. The agricultural and rural bureaus of all districts and counties in Mount Huangshan City, the agricultural machinery promotion centers in Mount Huangshan City and Qimen County, the head of Qihong Industrial Development Center in Qimen County, and the leaders in charge of agricultural machinery work in all villages and towns participated in the event, as well as relevant tea production and processing enterprises, tea professional cooperatives, tea garden agricultural machinery production entities and some agricultural machinery operation entities.
In 2023, under the guidance of the "Three Teas" coordinated thinking, the Chinese tea industry actively responded to the market environment of insufficient effective domestic demand, weak external demand, and complex changes, took advantage of the situation, optimized and adjusted, and ensured the stability of the basic market. During the year, the governance of excessive packaging was carried out in an orderly manner, and various tea events were held in various places. The new Chinese tea industry continued to advance vigorously and planned overseas layout. The listing of Lancang Ancient Tea in Hong Kong shares provided a new imagination space for the traditional original leaf tea industry to land in the capital market. New consumption hotspots such as "intangible cultural heritage", "China-Chic" and "mixed drinks" also continued to emerge.
In order to timely release the 2024 national spring tea production and sales dynamics and guide the spring tea production and sales work, the China Tea Circulation Association, together with provincial-level industry associations in major tea producing provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) across the country, continues to conduct research and form an annual spring tea series report.
