On September 20th, the 29th Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival 2024 opened in Jing'an District. This year's Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival focuses on Shanghai's highland of tea consumption and leading place of tea trend, and opens up a new industry and new format of tea culture and tourism integration. 
 
At the opening ceremony, not only were the annual top 100 "Shanghai Tea Houses" and the annual top 10 "Recommended Routes for the Most Beautiful Tea Towns" announced, but also the results of the "Top Ten Famous Teas in China" were revealed. 
 
The Gongfu Li tea and Qihong Special Maofeng tea selected by Qimen Black Tea Group won the gold medal in the "National Top Ten Famous Teas" selection of the 29th Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival in 2024. 

This selection is organized by the Jing'an District Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Shanghai Tea Society, and has received positive responses from many tea producing areas across the country. The participating tea categories include six major tea categories.

Throughout the entire evaluation process, in order to ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection process, all tea samples were marked with a secret code. The expert review team conducted a professional evaluation based on the "National Standard for Sensory Evaluation of Tea in the People's Republic of China". The evaluation was divided into two stages: dry evaluation and wet evaluation. The evaluation was conducted from five aspects including appearance, soup color, aroma, taste, and leaf base, and the mutual influence between different factors was considered to make a comprehensive evaluation of the tea samples.

This award is not only a recognition of Qimen Black Tea by the Office of the Shanghai Tourism Festival Organizing Committee, the Shanghai International Tea Culture Tourism Festival Organizing Committee, and the Shanghai Tea Society, but also a recognition of Qimen Black Tea Group's product quality, inheritance, and development of Qimen Black Tea culture.
