On October 18th, the 33rd China Tea Industry Science and Technology Annual Conference and the First Tea Culture Annual Conference, hosted by the China Tea Society, China International Tea Culture Research Association, and Xiangxi Prefecture People's Government, and organized by Xiangxi Prefecture Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Hunan Tea Society, and Hunan Tea Culture Research Association, were grandly opened in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province!
The 33rd China Tea Industry Science and Technology Annual Conference and the First Tea Culture Annual Conference, with the theme of "Technology Empowerment, Culture Casting Soul, Mysterious Xiangxi, and Drunken Beautiful Tea Town", will have one main venue, two tea science and technology sub venues, and one tea economy sub venue. The first Tea Culture Annual Conference will be held simultaneously. This annual conference invited 27 tea experts, scholars from various fields, and entrepreneurs to give special reports on 11 directions, focusing on tea technology innovation, tea culture inheritance, and high-quality development of the tea industry. The aim is to comprehensively showcase the innovative achievements of China's tea industry and promote the coordinated development of tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology.

Liu Zhonghua, academician of the CAE Member and president of Hunan Normal University, made a special report entitled "Tea's anti-aging effect and product development", briefly described the main active ingredients of anti-aging in tea, focused on the new research progress of tea in aspects related to public health, such as delaying skin aging, alleviating neural aging, enhancing memory, regulating sleep, anti anxiety and mental depression, and briefly introduced the development of anti-aging related products of tea at present.
Xu Minggang, an academician of the CAE Member and director of the Academic Committee of Shanxi Agricultural University, made a special report entitled "Organic Agriculture and Efficient Application Technology of Organic Fertilizer in Tea Garden", introduced the principle and technology of organic fertilizer replacing chemical fertilizer, and discussed the positive effect of long-term application of organic fertilizer on tea garden soil, including improving the content of soil organic matter, improving soil physical and chemical properties, and improving tea quality.
Zhang Zonghe, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former Secretary of the Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, delivered a special invited report titled "The Ideological Connotation of Rural Revitalization Relying on Industry". The report systematically discussed the positioning theory of rural industries, analyzed in detail the development laws of rural industries, and put forward unique insights on how to revitalize rural industries.
The First Tea Culture Annual Conference
On the afternoon of October 18th, the first Tea Culture Annual Conference was held. The annual meeting will focus on the theme of "Taking the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as the fundamental guidance, and making every effort to promote the high-quality development of the tea industry". Thirteen vice presidents of the China International Tea Culture Research Association discussed and exchanged ideas from different perspectives such as tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology around the theme. The vice presidents attending the meeting expressed their insightful opinions on empowering tea brand building, making life better with tea, promoting high-quality development of new tea food with the new era's concept of big food, and promoting innovation in Zhejiang's tea industry through tea technology innovation. They provided constructive and guiding guidance, pointing out the development path and direction for fully promoting the high-quality development of the tea industry.

The sub venue focuses on the hot and difficult issues of technological innovation in the tea industry, and invites 23 well-known domestic experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs to give special presentations. The report covers topics such as "New Technologies for Tea Plantation Production Management, Advantageous New Varieties of Tea Plantations, Standardization and Quality Safety of Tea, Big Food Concept and Innovative Development of Tea Industry, Tea Beverage Innovation, Traditional Tea Processing Technology, and Deep Processing Technology of Tea Essence". This technology annual conference showcased and promoted 24 new tea tree varieties, products, and technologies with application prospects, which broadened the horizons and expanded the thinking of tea industry practitioners; The "Tea Graduates Talent Information Exchange Conference" showcased 317 resumes of fresh tea graduates from 21 universities across the country, providing a public welfare information exchange platform for tea graduates and tea enterprises; The "Five Star Tea Sample Promotion" showcases 80 tea samples that have received five-star ratings in the 2024 tea quality evaluation; There are also rich and colorful exhibitions and experiences such as enterprise exchange area and tea beverage tasting area on site, allowing attendees to experience the charm of Xiangxi tea industry up close.
